This is a volunteer position with the Town of Yountville. An individual serving in this role has agreed to provide services to the Town with full knowledge and understanding that monetary compensation will not be provided. Participation in this temporary volunteer opportunity does not guarantee future paid employment with the Town.

The Operator-in-Training (OIT) Volunteer Program is intended to provide individuals pursuing careers in water and/or wastewater operations with meaningful, hands-on experience in a public utility environment. The program is designed to primarily support California wastewater treatment certification requirements, while also offering limited exposure to broader utility operations consistent with the Town’s small-agency operational model. This program will reinforce workforce development, enhance partnerships with educational institutions, and build a pipeline of qualified operator candidates for future employment opportunities.
